OAK LAWN

Among the oldest communities in Worth Township, Oak Lawn lies 13 miles SW of the Loop. A farming community until the mid-twentieth century, Oak Lawn is now home mainly to commuters.

Living in Oak Lawn has an urban feel, which can be generally more fast paced than the surrounding suburban areas but not as fast paced as more extremely packed cities. Usually there isn’t a problem finding new things to do money goes a little further for the space compared to other cities.

In Oak Lawn there are a lot of bars, restaurants, coffee shops, and parks. Many families, young professionals, and retirees live in Oak Lawn and residents tend to be liberal. The public schools in Oak Lawn are above average.
